Georgi Dimitrov
Baritone

Georgi Dimitrov was born in the city of Pleven, Bulgari, February 3, 1989 to a famous Bulgarian tenor that inspired his early interest in classical music. Noting his early talent by his father, in 2008 he entered a preparatory class at the National Academy of Music under the mentoring of Pancho Vladigerov. The following year he studied under Velizara Karayankova. In 2011 he studied with the great opera soprano, Mirella Freni in Modena, Italy and then made his operatic debut in the role of Papageno in Mozart's Die Zauberflöte in Sofia, Italy.

In 2014 he won a special award for young opera voice at the Piero Cappuccili Competition in Alexandria, Italy, the same year he won a special award at the Viva Verdi Competition for Young Opera Verdi's Voice. 2014 for Georgi is very successful in making his international debut as Belcore from Gaetano Donizetti's Love Elixir at the Teatro Scandici Florence, Italy.

In 2015 he recorded for the Slovenian National Radio with the Opera Gianni Schicchi by G. Puccini and a concert performance at the recital in Rome, Italy at the famous Capella Orsini. In 2017 he became a soloist at the Ruse Opera, where he made his debut in the "Country of Misunderstandings" by G. Rossini in the role of Buralicio, "Il Barbiere di Siviglia" as Figaro, "L'elisir d'amore" as Belcore by Donizetti, "Aida" as Amonasro by Verdi, "La Traviata" as Germont by Verdi, and "Pagliacci" as Tonio by Leoncavallo.

Georgi left the Ruse Opera in 2020 and joined the Blagoevgrad Opera. In 2021 he won first prize, a special prize for a bright artistic presence, a special prize Gala Concert at the Varna Opera. In December he made his debut in the role of Escamillo by "Carmen" by Georges Bizet.

Georgi has the honor to work with the orchestras: Ruse Opera, Vidin Symphony, Vratsa Symphony, Sofia Opera, the Slovenian National Radio Orchestra and others. He has toured in Romania, Greece, Italy, Spain and others. He has worked with names such as Misha Sheshaberidze, Orlin Anastasov, Nikola Paskovski, Lorenzo Kastriota, Jose Miguel, Georgi Dimitrov and many others. Despite the world wide pandemic Georgi has remained active performing live.
